Climate Talks 2024
A guest lecture series with the professionals in the field of sustainability

On November 11, students gathered to listen to the lecture about how Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) principles are driving change in Kazakhstan and the role of young people in shaping this movement. With our distinguished speaker Aray Serikzhanova, we dived into the fundamentals of ESG, practical examples from local companies, and the skills needed to thrive in this field.

On November 15, there was an engaging session about essentials of climate literacy, its relevance to Kazakhstan, and strategies for building eco-perseverance. Led by Daulet Teginbayev, NU and Oxford alumnus and consultant at FAO, this talk provided valuable insights into climate challenges and the proactive steps we can take to address them locally
